Fruit Kebabs in Chocolate


  • Fruit (We like strawberries, pineapple, mango, and peaches - plums are also good in the Winter)
  • 50g chocolate (plain, milk, or white - whichever you prefer)
  • clear honey or maple syrup
  • marshmallows (optional)


  1. If you use wooden skewers you will need soak them in cold water for 30 minutes. This stops them from burning on your campfire.
  2. Cut your fruit into chunks and thread them and the marshmallows, if using, onto your skewers.
  3. Drizzle a little honey or maple syrup over the fruit chunks.
  4. Grill over your campfire or barbecue for around 5 minutes. Turn frequently to make sure they don't burn.
  5. Put the chocolate in a heatproof bowl and place over a saucepan of simmering water. Make sure that the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water.
  6. Stir gently until the chocolate has melted.
  7. Drizzle the fruit with the melted chocolate and eat straight away!
