Scary Pumpkin Monsters
You don’t just have to carve out wide eyes and a spooky grin on your pumpkin this Halloween. How about creating ghoulish pumpkin monsters instead. Mwoaaahhhh!!!!!!!
Halloween wouldn’t be the same without pumpkins and these days green grocers and supermarkets are full of pumpkins and squashes of all different shapes and sizes. So why not try something a little more creative than the usual pumpkin lantern this year and make some scary monsters instead. What’s more, all that lovely yummy pumpkin and squash flesh can be made into a delicious, thick pumpkin soup. Perfect after a night’s Trick or Treating!!!!
Now none of us at Little Trekkers need much of an excuse to get out our paints, PVA glue and craft tools and but even our creative skills have a limit. Not sure we could make this amazing creation!
Ideas for Decorations You Can Use for Your Pumpkin Monsters
- Dried autumn leaves – of all shapes, colours and sizes
- Pine cones
- Sea shells
- Cinnamon sticks
- Nutmeg – cut them in half for some really cool affects
- Star Anise
When you get back after a day trekking in the woodlands collecting leaves and flowers, put them between sheets of newspaper and weigh down with a heavy book to flatten them out overnight. You can then keep them in an envelope or plastic wallet until you need them for your Autumn and Winter creative projects.
Don’t just throw the seeds from the middle of your pumpkin away. Wash and dry them so you can use them to decorate your pumpkin monster, they make great spikes or scales.
