The Beacon

Today was Daddy time. So Daddy took the kids for a walk up to the Beacon, a monument built in 1719, on a spot where beacons have been lit in times of war and emergency since the time of Henry VIII.

Snow! Yeh

With this fab snow fall this weekend, (although we didn’t get as much as a lot of the country) we had to take advantage of it so we headed up to Weardale our 'local resort'. They only have two lifts but are very child friendly, everyone helps you out.

Fun in the Sun in Ullswater - Wayfarer Gathering 2011

Whilst most of the UK was being lashed with rain; Ullswater in the Lake District positively basked in the sunshine the entire week of our camping/sailing holiday. We arrived at the Ullswater Yacht Club in the rain and overnight it lashed down and I resigned myself to a soggy week but the next day the sun came out and other than one day and some nights we had glorious weather.
