I'm with Chloe - much as I like lambs, I prefer calves and cows :-) I'm looking forward to Harry's blogpost from Balmoral.

A Gusty Day in Genoa

A Gusty Day in Genoa

Even on holiday in Italy, the sun doesn’t shine every day. So on a gusty, damp day we headed to Genoa. Our first stop was the aquarium, which was brilliant (and as a biology teacher I’ve been to a fair few aquariums in my time)! Arlo particularly loved stoking the rays, although there were a few times when I thought we might lose him in the tank!

Genoa is a great city for kids. The science museum, ‘La citta dei bambini’, is one of the few museums I’ve been to which has a special area dedicated specifically to 2-3 year olds. The theme there at the moment is ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’, which just happens to be one of Arlo’s favourite books.

You don’t have to spend money to have a wonderful time in Genoa though. There are lots of really fantastic, and very imaginative play parks dotted around, if you start at the park at the harbour, you will find a map that directs you to all the other play areas.

The harbour also has some great boats for all those pirate enthusiasts out there.

The boat in that last picture is incredible, and stroking the rays looks like a lot of fun.
