I'm with Chloe - much as I like lambs, I prefer calves and cows :-) I'm looking forward to Harry's blogpost from Balmoral.

Dedicated Follower of 'Squid & Me'

Inspired by the garden pursuits of 'Squid & Me', we have decided to try and grow tomatoes in our Little Trekkers post bag. This time we read the labels very carefully in the garden centre so that we were sure we had tomato plants and not chillies!

Despite only being 18 months, Arlo was definitely up to the challenge. OK, so quite a lot of the soil missed the bag, he drank water from the watering can and pulled a leaf off one of the plants (apparently they don't taste nice!), but we got there in the end and we had great fun.

Digging in the growbag

We water them (and ourselves) every day when we get home from nursery.

Watering the tomato plants

Here's hoping he overcomes his irrational hatred of tomatoes by the time they're grown! If not, I'm sure I can find a spot for them ;-)

We hope that your tomato growing is a great success. Please keep us up to date with your progress, with a little helper as good as yours you shouldn't have any problems at all! And I'm sure that Squid & Me will also wish you luck.
