When did you last have a water bomb fight? If, like me, it’s probably 25 years since you did, then let me remind you it’s great fun.

Water bomb fights are such a hit with James that I have found they are a useful bribe in all sorts of situations. “If you come and do some handwriting with me for a few minutes then we’ll have a water bomb fight afterwards.” “Oh, wow! Cool!” ... Brilliant.

take aim Choose your victim

And you stand very little chance of getting wet, as most small children are appalling shots and miss completely, even at point-blank range.

and fire Then give them a soaking

It’s even better if you get a willing victim… or even a not so willing one…
