Sunny Sunday Splashing
After an aborted boat trip this morning due to the wind, we thought we’d head to Germignaga for a quick swim.
In March 2011, I posted a blog from here, but I thought you might like to see it in its summery glory. Particularly those Little Trekkers out there who are planning a trip our way in the next few weeks ;-)
Arlo had great fun splashing about in the shallows (although the water is still pretty cold hence the Splash About wetsuit). As you can see from the photos it was pretty windy, lakes are not normally renowned for their waves and white peaks! A perfect day for sailing, just not with a toddler, they much prefer wave jumping!
At around 10am they turn on the water jets in the park, which can keep even the shortest attention span occupied long enough for mum and dad to have a nice coffee and a natter in the sunshine. Perfect!
What is your perfect Sunday morning?

Mmm - Sunday morning in Germignaga looks pretty hard to beat! If we're up early enough, we like to cycle to church - Harry's tagalong used to turn a few heads in the carpark. Everyone seems quite used to us now and thankfully the coat rack copes very well with our collection of waterproofs and bike helmets. After church, we occasionally head off down the Greenway for a picnic lunch. If, like you, the weather isn't entirely co-operative, we re-site our picnic in one of the coffee shops along the way and just make the best of it! (Although waterjets would definitely make the coffee stop a lot more relaxing for Ash and me!)
Our Sunday mornings start the same as any other morning, walking the dog, but with the added bonus of the whole family heading out together. We often go on an extended walk finishing of at a nice country pub for Sunday lunch. Or if the weathers nice go for a paddle in the canoe.
