In the village of Deddington in Oxfordshire where my husbands’ parents live, they are lucky enough to have a Farmers Market. We try to go when we can, as it is a great excuse to buy local products and everyone goes for a general socialise, including the dog!

Ullswater Outdoor Festival

Today was the start of Ullswater's outdoor festival and for the first day they had a fun family day on the village green, There was storytelling, bird's of prey on display, fire performing, Cumbrian folk music, bushcraft demonstrations, face painting, bouncy castle fire services v mountain rescue challenge but to name a few.

We have 2 chickens at home. We have had them from very young so they are very friendly. If you leave the front door open they are more than happy to come in, but I am not as keen as they aren’t toilet trained, so they get told to get out!

Our family is starting up a community farm in Catherington, East Hampshire. We are hoping to involve the whole community. It’s a lot of getting dirty and muddy but will be lovely in the summer!!
