I'm with Chloe - much as I like lambs, I prefer calves and cows :-) I'm looking forward to Harry's blogpost from Balmoral.

Chloe’s Birthday – Part One: Mini Trains!

Harry and Chloe are big train fans so we decided to celebrate Chloe’s second birthday with a visit to the Drumawhey Miniature Railway near Bangor, County Down. As usual it was raining – Spotty Otter saves the day again! When they heard it was Chloe’s birthday, they let her on free (although at £2 per child, it’s not exactly expensive) but did warn me to hold on tight.

We had a short wait for the train then it was “All aboard!”

We then spent the next 15 minutes whizzing round the track, up hills, over bridges, through tunnels and saw all manner of things along the way.

True to form, Harry spotted a dinosaur in the wilderness, there was also a family of Meerkats, Tigger made an appearance and everyone’s favourite – an actual workman laying more track near the engine sheds! Nana tried to get some photos of these but we were going too fast, so if you don’t believe me, you’ll have to come and visit yourselves. Any local fellow trekkers are very welcome to verify this list, and add to it if I’ve whetted your appetite – the Teagues definitely recommend it!

Looks fantastic. My two are also huge railway fans, and it looks like a super little train. Sadly it might be just a bit far away for us!

Ah little trains are wonderful. Looks like you had a great adventure. Trains are a favorite with the Lunn's too. Ollie is obsessed!
