I'm with Chloe - much as I like lambs, I prefer calves and cows :-) I'm looking forward to Harry's blogpost from Balmoral.

Folly Farm - "The Best Family Day Out in Wales"

Folly Farm -

If you're including Pembrokeshire as part of your family days out, then you really have to ask Mummy and Daddy to take you to Folly Farm! There's a zoo with over 200 exotic animals (and chickens, giant bunnies, horses with foals, goat milking......and a life-size wooden cow to sit on).

There's an indoor vintage fair if you are old enough to play on this. There's lots to do, both undercover and in the open air. When we went the weather was variable, from cloudy to scorchingly hot (yes, the huge gift shop does stock sunhats and brollies).

At Folly Farm

There are good baby changing and feeding facilities (they display the breastfeeding welcome sticker). There's a mini 20 minute train ride around the big areas outside so you haven't got to walk (but if you want to get off and do the additional nature trail then that is great fun too). There is also a racing car track, mini diggers for the older kids, little diggers and a mini push-along track for the younger ones..... It's easily a day's outing.

The best bit is that if you use Rewards vouchers from a well-known supermarket chain, you can get in free! There are a number of places to eat and drink but my advice is to take a picnic and then ask to buy an ice cream.

If you are planning a visit, check out the dates as sometimes they have popular children’s characters visiting - and if they do, the visitor numbers increase dramatically. If you aren't into any of the characters, choose a quieter day and you'll get much more out of the visit. And yes, I slept all the way home!
