Who Needs Actual Snow?
Who ever said you actually need snow to go on a ski expedition?? Mathilda is so totally obsessed with skiing she's been going all summer to the indoor slope about half an hour away from where we live.
It's most bizarre getting out your skis and warm gear when its 28-30 degrees outside. Anyway, seeing as we are planning a huge adventure to the Southern Alps for the winter season we thought we would check if she could fit into her next lot of spotty gear!...this sparked the adventurous spirit and she was off....exploring the valleys of the back garden and making a first summit of the garden bench.
In tow via toboggan was pink bear unfortunately not kitted out in Spotty Otter gear much to Mathilda's dismay but I suggested with the fleecy dressing gown, woollen booties, hat and his own fine fur outer layer he would be quite warm enough for the expedition he was setting out on!!

Too funny.
I will have to try and dig out the photos of Emily, age 4, practicing ski jumping off the plastic slide in the back garden! A lot of fun, but seriously tough on the skis.....
Do you wax your own? I probably need to learn.
Now stop Blogging and head inside to knit poor teddy a proper suit for his upcoming adventures!
