The Spey Way

The Spey Way It's not bad when you can cycle down your road and be on the Spey Way - a national cycle network that goes all the way to the sea! Today we were however just going the few miles to Boat of Garten (the next village). The route wiggles its way through beautiful woodlands, past the golf course, across the moor with stunning panoramic views of the Cairngorm mountains and into a quite lane with the most amazing houses on it. We were heading to the pub - a great incentive of fizzy juice and crisps to keep the girls pedalling! It was a lovely sunny day and the girls really enjoy being out on their bikes. The Spey Way is ideal for kids to ride on their own as its relatively flat and the trail is in great condition. I had the seat and trail gator so when the time came i just fastened them onto my bike to reach the end. Maybe next summer they will manage the whole cycle on their own.
